2 packages ground beef- I usually use a 90/10. Sometimes the 93/7 makes it a little dry. 2 cans tomato sauce- depends on if you like a saucy or a meatier loaf, you might want to add more 1 package Lipton Onion Soup Mix Beefy Onion Flavor 1/2 bell pepper- cut to your liking, I only use half and cut mine a little larger so they add flavor but my kids can easily pick around them if they choose 2 eggs 1 sleeve of low fat Ritz Crackers Prep Time approx 10 minutes In a large mixing...

So, I am always a glass half full kinda gal but now that 2012 has proven to be such an awesome year for me, I can finally say that 2011 was my worst year EVAH! Might be extreme, so I'll just say it was the most challenging year for me thus far. Thankfully, God continues to show me the lesson on the other side of every challenge. I am so thankful for my amazing friends and family who literally camped out by my side this year. ... As always, I landed on my feet and came thru it like a champ...so t...

I am always baffled when people are so shocked when certain celebrity couples split. “Oh they seemed like the perfect couple!” Everyone is human and flawed. You never know what goes on inside someone's home or what one's threshold of happiness truly is. The longer I live, the more I know that to be true. No marriage is a fairy tale and all that glitters damn sure ain't gold. I do not by any means sit here profess to be an expert on marriage. And admittedly, I am divorced. But having been mar...
  • Owning your punishment

I try to give my kids choices as it relates to their punishment. Now when I say choices, that isn’t born from the fact that I believe they should dictate how the household is run. I’ve discovered if they choose and accept one of a few proposed punishments, they own it more fully. They feel like an owner in their own torture lol and it doesn't come across as being forced upon them…because THEY bought into it! My son forgot his shirt for his field trip, it’s mandatory for any kid attend...

It all started with my firstborn was about two years old. The Montessori school he attended was hosting “Mommies and Muffins” for Mother’s Day. It was a sweet and quaint celebration where all of the kids served the moms muffins and poured them juice in little cups. Of course by the time most of the muffins made their way to the floor, not much was fit for human consumption! As I got ready to find a seat with my son, I noticed the teacher trying to pacify an inconsolable little boy. As nose...
