UGH....it's a dreaded standardized testing morning. I'm singing very loudly, "Don't believe the hype" in my best Flava Flav voice. It's Day One of two days of testing for my boys. I hate that the school pushes all of that testing anxiety into my home! If left up to me, nothing would be different. My kids are on a schedule and get good sleep every school night. I make some semblance of a hot breakfast daily! So why all of the pressure pushed down to them to do so many extra things in prepa...

I must admit, I'm a bit of a preacher snob. When I walk into my church and look in that large high-backed chair and don't see my pastor Rev. Dr. Marcus D. Cosby....I kinda roll my eyes and wish I were back in bed. There!!! Yeah I said it. I guess it's like a good workout, you are not very happy when you first start but once you get warmed up you start feeling it. Doesn't happen all I the time, but yesterday was one of those days I just wanted to hear from MY pastor.
I decided early on that...

It's funny how life has a way of taking you down paths you'd never expect to travel. I never expected to go through a divorce after 14 years and 3 kids. But I did, and I made it through. As someone who at 38 had NEVER lived alone, payed bills or been responsible for running a household, I never expected to be able to that either.
Low and behold....I am finally growing up. Next month I will turn 39 and I am still experiencing many firsts. After our divorce, I was faced with the terrifying real...

Its a quiet Monday evening, full of endless sibling rivalry jabs. Ironically, donned in one of my favorite maxi dresses bearing black and white stripes...I was fully primed to be a referee....or serve 25 to life. And with these kid it can easily go either way lol!
As my taco meat was simmering (don't hate on my Monday night complex cooking skills) I was having a sweet bonding moment with my oldest son. We are sitting at the kitchen table sharing a Coke and he asks, "So mommy, what inspired...

Dear readers, supporters, like minded crazy mommies, supporters, cheerleaders, dads and those who generally enjoy my random bloggy musings,
I never imgained when I launched this blog on March 1st that things would start falling into place so quickly for me. It has been a whirlwind but I am thoroughly enjoying it and I fully recognize that I would have never made it without God's divine plan that he has for me in this chaotic life of mine!
I would have never taken this leap of faith with...

Having three kids, I would love it if I were always organized enough to have the stars and moon line up just so in my favor so that all of my reminders would be perfectly timed and in sync with everything I need to do in any given day. I would never forget anything, I would always show up wearing the perfect outfit with the perfect dish...I could rule the world! Well, since I am actually human and I probably bleed merlot...looks like that won't be happening anytime soon. But I did stumble acr...
